Darüşşafaka Alumni aims to increase the mutual support among the members/graduates, as well as creating a higher positive image of both the school and the graduates.
Scope Of The Project
Darüşşafaka exists since 1863 aiming to provide “equal opportunities in education”. Dasüşşafaka TV is a “social responsibility” project of the Darüşşafaka Alumni. Darüşşafaka Alumni has the motto of “giving back at least some of what its members received from the society”, and it is targeted to provide Online training TV to those who cannot benefit from the opportunities of Darüşşafaka.
Simternet Solution
Darüşşafaka TV is planned to be an educational website broadcasting live and recorded educational programs for secondary level students.
The site has a Windows Media Server infrastructure enabling the portal to relay the pictures and soun d to the data center on real time. Currently 1000 people can follow the programs simultaneously. Besides the live programs, the materials recorded at the Darüşşafaka Alumni Center studios are archived on the portal server, thus are available 7/24 for the community.
